Our winery is in Traben-Trarbach, Germany, directly on the Moselle River. We cultivate and produce terroir-typical wines on 4.5 hectares of the best slate steep-slopes. With sites in Traben-Trarbach, Enkrich and Piesport we aim to display and preserve the special cultural attributes of winemaking in the steep-slope landscape of the Moselle Region.

With sites in Traben-Trarbach, Enkrich and Piesport we aim to display and preserve the special cultural attributes of winemaking in the steep-slope landscape of the Moselle Region.
Family Tradition
Our family has been rooted in Traben-Trarbach, and active in viticulture and the wine trade for over 200 years. The love of winemaking can be traced back to the founding of our estate by Ulrich Langguth in 1895 and continues to flourish in what is now the sixth generation. Patrick U. Langguth, formerly a lawyer, returned to his ancestral home to carry on the family legacy with his wife Friederike and their three daughters.
Family Tradition

The viticulture landscape of the Moselle Region is marked by slanted to very steep-slope terraces, vines cultivated on individual slopes, the Riesling grape variety and the distinctive slate-terroir.
